Dan Passarelli most recently has done work with a premier brokerage firm and trading firm in Chicago, IL providing option education to retail and professional traders. 

Prior to that, Dan was a faculty member at the Options Institute, which is the educational arm of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). Dan has taught options to thousands of traders both in person, and online through podcasts and webcasts. Dan has written articles on trading for several publications, including a monthly column in Stock, Futures, and Options (SFO) Magazine. He has been featured on radio and television. Dan's provided option workshops to groups such as the the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Association of Government Accountants. Excerpts of Dan's works have been included in college curricula as well as in other publications.

Dan started his trading career as a market maker on the floor of the CBOE, trading equity options. He also traded agricultural options and futures on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). Dan has created and electronically traded proprietary option trading systems.

About the Author

After spending seven years on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) as a market maker trading equity options, Dan decided to give back to the trading community. 

In 2005, Dan was asked to join the Options Institute at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). Through his work at CBOE, he began helping traders of all levels of experience to learn option trading.

Dan also provided educational material for the Options Industry Council (OIC) on options and trading.
